Description

The Alesis Recital Pro is a full-sized digital piano with 88 hammer-action weighted keys and USB-MIDI connectivity. Though it lacks transport and other onboard midi controls, it works great with virtual instruments in Ableton Live, Pro Tools, and other DAW software.

The weighted keys make all the difference. Playing it feels like playing a traditional acoustic piano, and the midi connection lets you use it with a computer to play any sounds you can imagine.

This was the least expensive 88-key, fully-weighted midi keyboard I could find when I bought mine in early 2022. So far, it’s stood up to over a year of daily use as my primary practice piano.
